Please Help Me Survive Summer

Do you know where I live?  GEORGIA.  Do you know how far south of the Mason-Dixon line that is?  Do you know what the temperature is today?  97 Degrees FAHRENHEIT (that's roughly 37-38 degrees Celsius), and do you know, the compressor ($2000!) on our AC is BUSTED, so it's 90 degrees INSIDE my house, because I sure as hell don't have $2000.  I don't even have $100 to buy a window unit for my bedroom so I can sleep!  Can you please donate $5 towards helping me get that $100 window unit, so I can GET SOME REST?  I will thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Donate $10 and get your username posted as a most-valued user! (in fact, I'll post a list of all contributors and the amount contributed, though if you wish to not be listed, that's fine too, just let me know).

Donate $20 and I'll make you a CUSTOM web template!

Donate $50 and I will name a template after you and give you a permanent front-page link!

Welcome to CrypticSites

There are now a couple of exceptions to my all-Joomla-all-the-time format: a Drupal theme I've had in mind for a long time, and a Wordpress theme or template or whatever they call 'em which follows in the footsteps of my other dark-background designs.  As a matter of fact I DO like red and black.

Both the Drupal theme and the Wordpress thing are my firsts for those CMS, so feedback would be appreciated.

I've converted Mint Creme (Joomla 1.5) to formats for Drupal, Wordpress, and plain HTML/CSS, and I just got them online yesterday.  More to come!

The New Custom Template

Tada - the new template is unveiled!  The old template was lovely, Transparent Bliss, but it wouldn't collapse the right column when you go to the downloads or forum areas -- so here is my own version, which WILL!

The downloadable templates are all online now; no, there aren't yet a great many, but more are being added all the time.  Any questions, comments, problems, that's what the forum is for.

I've finally found a download manager that actually works -- for those of you who might've come to try and download templates, please accept my apologies.  Now that I have a working program, I'm getting the templates back online for download.  The various odd fonts I've used to create various site headers will also be online shortly, if you need to download them to create your own site's graphics.

As far as I know, the forum works, so if there are any questions about any of the templates, please post them there.  And be aware that although registration is not required for downloading, you will of course need to register in order to use the forum.

For the moment, only Joomla 1.5 templates are available, but I will eventually offer the same designs for Drupal, Wordpress, and plain HTML/CSS websites.  I have no recourse to Windows servers, so I regret to say I cannot offer templates for .ASP sites.  If anyone would like to donate space on a Windows server, I would be glad to try.

Fonts Now Online

There are now a few fonts online for download; I have no idea where they came from, but they were all freely available to me, so I am making them available on the same terms -- free, displaying the original copyright info.  If there are any fonts (TrueType) you're looking for and can't find, post a msg in the forum; I have tons of them, and may just have what you're looking for.

Creative Commons License

Creative Commons LicenseMy templates are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. That means you may download them for free, use them for free, distribute them, and/or make any changes you like, but you must leave my copyright notice intact and if you share my templates with anyone else, whether as-is or with any changes you may make, you must license them with a license like or equivalent to this one. See the link above to view the full terms of the license.

I licensed my templates this way because standard-level templates for free software should also be free, but I'd like to get my just credit, especially since I support the templates in a forum, also without recompense. You may of course also add your own copyright notice for your own content.

I will also be offering premium templates, which go beyond the "standard" level in design, effects, and/or functionality. Those templates will not be free, but my guiding principle has always been "affordable custom web design," so I anticipate pricing them very reasonably. Stay tuned!
